I got a job! Just a little one. And it's only for about 5 weeks. But still, no more stay-at-home-wife for me! I'm working at a law office in Cupertino that does a lot of "Intellectual Property" stuff. Like trademarks. Me, specifically? I go through files. It's pretty exciting. Good thing I went to college, huh? I'm already enjoying the little (and I mean little) extra moolah it brings in. I only work about 6 hours a day, but man does it take it out of me. I have so much respect for the pregnant women that work full-time through their pregnancies. Somehow I just wasn't raised with that kind of work ethic. I like to play.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to our second birthing class tonight. Last week the instructor split us into male and female groups and gave us a mini anatomy quiz. It was a picture of a woman and her insides with blanks we had to fill in. We were allowed to work with our fellow gender mates. When we came back together the ladies had gotten all the answers right. The guys got most everything right. They just missed one. Can you guess which one? It starts with a 'v' and ends with an 'agina.' Yep, the same guys that watered the seed couldn't identify a ya-ya on the map. That gave me a good laugh.
Happy Thursday, it's almost the weekend!
I read this awhile ago and never commented on it, but Kirk and I were both laughing pretty hard. I especially love your last sentence about the ya-ya. hehe. Sure miss you!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was pregnant, I was working 40 hours a week chasing around 2 year old twins. It was SO SOOOO exhausting. I'm looking forward to my next pregnancy when all I have to do is look after Lucy.
