Death to my ears...

... safe to eat raw cookie dough. The only question remaining is how much can I eat in a single sitting? Thanks to my sister, Ellilea, for finding and making this recipe for me. I owe you credit for a big accomplishment: today I officially passed my heaviest weight I've ever been. In my life. You say: You made it to 30 weeks pregnant before that happened? That's great! I say: You should have seen me after my freshman year of college. So why don't we celebrate and all go make a batch of these tiny drops of heaven... let's bring up the average BMI around here!

Heather's Safe to Eat Raw Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Ingredients:

Servings: 30
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda (optional)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1/4 cup milk (I used soy)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In large bowl cream butter and sugar until light in color.
  2. Add pudding and combine well.
  3. Stir in vanilla and milk.
  4. Add baking soda, if you choose to & flour 1/2 cup at a time until combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Store in fridge or freeze small scoops in the freezer.
  7. Enjoy, WITHOUT the worry of eating raw eggs.
  8. You can choose to leave out the baking soda, but it adds a nice flavor to the dough, and I find we miss it when it is not there.

  1. Can I just say how happy I am that you posted this?! I pretty much just can't make cookies while pregnant because I cannot resist the dough! It's pathetic. But now I can! I am excited to try it! And can I just add that you are an adorable pregnant girl Leia! You look GREAT! We are so excited for you guys!
